An old military airfield surrounded by fields, peasant houses, and some small factories. It is situated about 15 km south of Dandong next to the highway to Dalian (which is presently under reconstruction) One gate and one baggage belt, two check in counters and one security check gate complete the clean but older airport building. Boarding is through the aircraft built in stairs and the baggage claim area is in a seperate building. There are always taxis waiting during arrivals and these are an E ticket ride if you can keep your eyes open. Local officials are friendly and helpful, the greedy atmosphere of Shanghai is completely missing here in small town China.
